14 Artists Transform Saudi Arabian Desert Into a Contemporary Art Oasis

An ancient oasis in Saudi Arabia has been transformed into a contemporary art playground for Desert X AlUla. The event brings together fourteen local and international artists, who have created site-specific installations inspired by the natural surroundings. This type of interactive installation is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and is a spinoff of the Desert X events that happen every two years in California's Coachella Valley.

Stunning Aerial Photos Capture Rare Sight of Icelandic Highlands When Thawed

Photographer Sebastian Müller spent ten days in Iceland, driving over 3,000 miles through the Highlands to take in the incredible scenery. Using his drone, he was able to capture incredible aerial views of the famous landscape, taking advantage of the different colors and textures produced by the country's geothermal activity. The results are sweeping, dramatic images that once again prove why Iceland is a favorite playground of photographers.

Artists Create Elaborate Baroque-Inspired Wigs Made Entirely of Paper

Artists Asya Kozina and Dmitriy Kozin are taking the historical accessory of white powdery wigs to a whole new level. Based in Saint Petersburg, the talented duo works entirely with paper to create colossal, wearable sculptures that are layered with intricate designs. Although their creations feature a variety of motifs—from airplanes to ships to entire palaces—they are all founded from a deep love and fascination for the fashion of the Baroque and Rococo art movements.
