Lyft Launches “Green Mode” to Promote the Use of Eco-Friendly Electric Cars

In an effort to make ride-hailing more environmentally friendly, Lyft has launched “Green Mode.” This option, which was introduced on February 6 to users in Seattle, allows passengers to request a pickup in an electric or hybrid car. Green Mode is just one of the initiatives that Lyft—which became carbon neutral last year—is promoting in order to diminish their impact on the planet.

Artist Doug Aitken reflects the beauty of the Swiss Alps in his latest installation called Mirage Gstaad. Consisting of a ranch-style home completely clad in mirrors, the structure now sits with the snow-covered peaks in Gstaad, Switzerland. The surface camouflages it amidst the mountains and evergreen trees, and from afar, Mirage Gstaad is completely in-sync with the landscape and seemingly disappears.

Titled Lucid Dream II, Tsang's most recent series of contemporary sculptures is rendered in his signature, surreal style. Featuring expressive and emotive topsy-turvy faces, his work remains undeniably dreamlike and unsettlingly lifelike.
