21-year-old Wyatt McCollum has an incredibly vivid imagination which he brings to life through his photography. He began taking pictures after high school graduation and his work often focuses on an exploration of surreal moments blended with a touch of reality.
McCollum creates both portraits and self-portraits that evoke a mix of emotions and that convey beautifully contemplative moments in unconventional ways. The young artist often composes shots that feel as though we are catching a glimpse of unaware, solitary figures as they wallow in loneliness or daydream of faraway escapes.
Although McCollum pairs many of his images with personal written stories, viewers can easily become entranced by the dramatic visuals and can quickly begin to create memories and narratives of our own.
