May Nathan W. Pyle's illustrations make you laugh today or perhaps just crack a smile. His cute and clever illustrations sure did the trick for us. By day, Pyle's a freelance television producer and, in his words, he's drawing “ridiculous things at night.”
As he told Urlesque, “All of my designs start with a silly idea I get walking around the city and end with me staying up late working in Adobe Illustrator. Usually somewhere in between I take a photo of myself or something in my neighborhood or my room so I can make my drawing more realistic. I usually get my ideas because I overthink things and then laugh out loud to myself on the subway. It's okay because everyone on the subway does that in New York. My influences are C.S. Lewis, for teaching me to think like a kid and an adult simultaneously, and my cousin Clinton Reno, who first showed me how to draw digitally. I also have greatly benefited from artist advice at Threadless and Woot!”
