Everyday, I learn a new way that the human eye can be deceived. Tom Deininger is an artist based in Rhode Island who constructs these beautiful landscape sculptures that are more than meets the eye. What appears to be a series of barren birch trees is actually an amalgam of wires, cables, and other alternative materials.
Despite their grandeur size, these installations can fool even the most discerning eye. It isn't until you come in close and take a look around that you notice Sponge Bob Square Pants rooted beside other toys in what you thought was an awning of trees over a lake. Deininger is a master when it comes to turning miscellaneous junk into impeccable art.
