Last year, at the famous light in art and architecture festival Glow in Eindhoven, Netherlands, one of the standout pieces was this colorful dome made of LED lights by Luminarie De Cagna. (It's the same Italian family that was behind that amazing cathedral of lights.) Called Cupola, the dome resembled a building from the Italian Renaissance and stood an impressive 25 meters high and 20 meters wide. A true spectacle, it consisted of 30,000 LED lights that surrounded an old bronze statue of Anton Philips, a civic-minded man who was often regarded as the father of the city of Eindhoven.
This year, Glow will begin tomorrow, November 10, and will run till November 17. Can't wait to see what exciting new installations this year will bring.
