In a continuation of his intriguing Millenium series, Armenian artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan developed a number of oil paintings that will force your eyes to make sense of the distortions. The artist painted stunning portraits along the most unexpected surface, creating a surreal illusion of hyper-realistic faces that emerge through detailed feminine hands.
Although each woman attempts to conceal her identity, the artist won't allow it. Viewers are confronted with portraits that raise the question, ‘Is that really the face that lay underneath?' Just like on the internet, we only receive a snippet of information and are required to base reality on that small piece of information. The project highlights the many flaws of our modern society, a technological world that lacks intimacy and personal connections.
