Ultra Sleek Button-Less Camera

The Rotor 360 camera, designed by Charlie Nghiem, is beautifully simple in its execution of design. By removing the buttons for menu options and instead replacing them with a rotating column of choices, Nghiem has improved the interface of the modern digital camera.

Nghiem offers this brief explanation about his design, “The column consists of several cylinders stacked on top of each other forming a set that in would fit into the camera. To access the features and menus, just drag the thumb on the cylinder are in order to rotate each function. Each cylinder would correspond to a line displayed on the screen.”

The designer has also payed close attention to the ergonomic feel of the selection column in accordance to where a persons hands and fingers would lay when in use.
