Life-Sized Pirate Ship Built Completely Out of Cardboard

As they were planning their Treasure Island-themed Halloween party last year, friends Josh, Mikey, and Joel clearly didn't want to skimp on the decorations so they decided to build a life-sized pirate ship made completely out of cardboard! The creative trio developed this elaborate design and, using just cardboard boxes, a hot glue gun, and box cutters, they spent five days building this incredibly detailed ship as the centerpiece for their party.

Designers propose a wide range of concepts set within various tank sizes that are intended to function as nature-inspired habitats. The well-developed aquatic spaces include details like meticulously placed stones, trees, and mosses; sand and driftwood; and creatively arranged aquatic plants.

Incredibly Complex Triple Exposures Created In-Camera

These beautifully composed triple exposure photographs were created completely in-camera by Seattle Times photographer Marcus Yam. Challenged to produce a visual story to go along with a Seattle Times essay, Yam determined that his standard photojournalistic approach would not fit with the content. So, he decided to illustrate the story by merging three ideas into one unique photograph without using any post-production Photoshop techniques.
