Music Hall Emerges From Croatia’s Fields Draped in Limestone Curtains

The architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) is bringing a cultural destination to eastern Croatia. Currently under construction in Čepin, EVE Music Hall will open in early 2027 as BIG’s first completed project in Croatia and the firm’s first finished music venue. Developed in partnership with Marko Pipunić, the 10,000-square-meter complex will serve as a hub for concerts, conferences, exhibitions, festivals, and public gatherings in the heart of the Slavonian countryside.

Artist Transforms Rusted Tin Roof Salvaged From Charleston Fire Into American Iconography [Interview]

The United States recently celebrated its 250th anniversary, and Charleston artist Fletcher Williams III is marking the occasion with a new solo exhibition titled 250 Years from Mr. Freedman. Presented in conjunction with the United States’ semiquincentennial, the exhibition centers on a series of sculptural wall reliefs made from the salvaged tin roof of a burned Freedman’s Cottage in Charleston.

Once-Forgotten Music Notebook by Mozart Was Discovered in Paris After 230 Years

Embed from Getty Images Deep in the storerooms of France’s National Library in Paris, curators uncovered a small 44-page notebook that would soon reshape part of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s early history. The manuscript, written in 1778 when Mozart was 22 and working in Paris as a music teacher, sat unidentified for more than 230 years, miscatalogued among centuries of archival material.
