Norwegian Park Allows Visitors to Play with Wolves Under the Northern Lights

Norway's Polar Park allows visitors to get up close and personal with majestic wolves, who you'd ordinarily expect to be enclosed behind a fence. For their Howl Night, guests can spend the night amongst these mysterious animals as they howl beneath the moon (and even the Northern Lights). People can observe the wolves' habits, cuddle with them, and see them as they've never seen them before–all in a safe environment and without fear.

Phoenix, Arizona Made It Mandatory for Pet Stores to Only Sell Adoptable Rescue Animals

Phoenix, Arizona is the latest major US city to make it mandatory for pet stores to only offer adoptable rescues from shelters. A federal judge recently ruled to uphold a 2013 ordinance banning pet stores from selling dogs and cats raised by commercial breeders. Phoenix, as well as 59 other cities and counties that have passed similar laws, hope that the legislation will shut down puppy mills by curbing demand for them.

Adorable Puppy Has a Permanent Grumpy Face

Grumpy Cat may have found her counterpart in this adorable (and equally as grouchy) pup named Earl. Quickly becoming known as the Internet's “most morose mutt,” this puggle has a seemingly permanent scowl on his face–no matter how many times you pet him! Despite the grumpy expression, Earl's human Derek Bloom says that the pooch is very friendly towards other humans and dogs.
