Rescue Pilots Fly Thousands of Senior Shelter Dogs to Their New Homes for Free

According to the ASPCA, senior dogs have a 25% adoption rate, compared to the 60% adoption rate of puppies and younger canines. Sadly, this means older dogs have a much harder time finding their forever homes. That's why any endeavor to give them a boost is moving and truly appreciated. Such is the case with Pet Rescue Pilots, a nonprofit that flies pets from overcrowded shelters to their new families free of charge.

New Study Finds That Cats Know When Their Owners Are Using Their “Cat Voice”

There are many misconceptions about cats, but new studies are proving that they form closer bonds with humans than previously thought. Recently, research conducted at Paris Nanterre University's Laboratory of Compared Ethology and Cognition showed that owners change their voice when addressing their felines, usually altering it to a higher pitch. Not only that, but they also found that cats are able to recognize their owner's “cat voice” versus that of a complete stranger.
