4,000 Colorful Numbers Make Time Flow Above a Hong Kong Walkway

Artist Emmanuelle Moureaux has brought her signature chromatic language across the harbor to Hong Kong for the first time with 100 colors no.54 FLOW. Suspended above a bank of escalators at Central Yards, a mixed-use waterfront development connecting IFC Mall to the Central Ferry Piers, the installation transforms a temporary pedestrian bridge into a vivid passage through time and color. The site is filled with roughly 4,000 handcrafted numerals arranged in Moureaux’s signature 100-color palette.

Giant Oyster-Shaped Installation Made of Recycled Shells Pops Up on Governors Island

A monumental oyster now rises from the waterfront at Governors Island. Aptly titled The Oyster, the new public artwork by Mohawk artist Alan Michelson invites visitors to step inside an immersive sculpture. It reconnects New York Harbor’s Indigenous history with one of its largest environmental restoration efforts. The location carries particular significance. Governors Island sits within an estuary that once supported vast oyster reefs and shell middens built by Lenape communities over generations.
