Submerged Sculpture of a Slumbering Woman Lights Up From Within in an English River

Artist Jason deCaires Taylor is arguably the leading underwater sculptor working today. His compelling pieces can be found in the depths around the world, from an underwater museum in Australia to a series of sculptures off the coast of Cannes. And they draw thousands of visitors each year. For his latest project, Taylor turned to the River Stour in Canterbury, Kent, where a striking piece with connections to English art history has been installed.

Artist Transforms Discarded Horseshoes Into Dynamic Animal Sculptures

Sculptor Jamie Thomas certainly lives by the creed that “one man's trash is another man's treasure.” The New Zealand artist creates striking animal sculptures from steel, often working with reclaimed materials. He's particularly fond of using discarded horseshoes, which he shapes and polishes into everything from horses to dolphins. Recently, he's acquired over 6 metric tons of horseshoes thanks to a farmer who has been collecting them for over 20 years.

Mark Zuckerberg Commissioned Daniel Arsham to Make a Sculpture of His Wife Priscilla Chan

American artist Daniel Arsham recently unveiled his latest project—one that seems to draw from classical sculpture both in its form and its intention. The New York-based creator was commissioned by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO and founder of Meta (the parent company of Facebook), to craft a larger-than-life sculpture of his beloved wife, Priscilla Chan. The sculpture appears to be 7 feet tall and captures Chan mid-stride.
