Massive 20-Story Flower Mural Sprouts From Jersey City Skyline

Wildflowers aren't commonly found in urban spaces, but artist Mona Caron is slowly changing that fact. The San Francisco-based artist creates massive murals of plant life as part of her ongoing WEEDS series. Her newest addition is a 20-story mural of a flower that sprouts from the Jersey City skyline. Commissioned by the Jersey City Mural Arts Program, the piece depicts a plant that is native to the site called Eutrochium.

Heartbreaking Art From Afghanistan’s First Female Street Artist Shamsia Hassani

In Afghanistan, there is real fear and concern as the Taliban take back control of the country after 20 years. Of particular concern is how women will be treated, given the brutality they faced during the Taliban's last regime. Shamsia Hassani, who is Afghanistan's first female street artist, is turning her emotions into art and has published a series of heartbreaking images on her social media.
