Artist “Grows” Tiny Paper Flowers That Will Stay in Bloom Forever

Artist Uses Real Found Flowers to Create Delicate One-of-a-Kind Ceramics

For artist Hessa Al Ajmani, gathering inspiration is as easy as visiting her mother’s garden. There, she finds a variety of blooms that become the basis for her nature-inspired ceramics. Ajmani arranges unique and thoughtful assortments of the flowers which she then presses into every mug, bowl, and plate that she makes. When the flora is removed from the clay, an imprint of the form remains as a delicate surface design.
