Artist Installs Mesmerizing Arrangements of Rocks on the Beach

Using the beach as his canvas, artist Jon Foreman installs mesmerizing designs that are completely composed of stones. These arrangements incorporate rocks of various shapes, colors, and sizes, culminating in artworks that look as though they are moving across the sand, or simply, a natural part of it. Some of these finished works resemble waves—echoing the environment—while others take on an abstract appearance that is nonetheless awe-inspiring to look at.

The Giza pyramids are the dramatic backdrop for a new installation by anonymous Spanish artist SpY. Inspired by Egyptian symbolism and mathematics, the piece is part of the exhibition Forever is Now II. Organized by Culturvator/Art D’Égypte, the exhibition asks artists around the world to take inspiration from Egypt's rich cultural history. Olafur Eliasson’s Massive Qatar Installation Invites People to Ponder Their Place in Nature

Qatar continues to transform its spaces into a public museum with a massive new installation by artist Olafur Eliasson. Situated in the desert outside of Al Zubarah and Ain Mohammed heritage sites in Doha, Shadows travelling on the sea of the day was commissioned 10 years ago and took four years to produce. It features 20 mirrored circle shelters that both provide respite from the Sun and also ask visitors to ponder their place in nature.
