Surreal Moon Photo Looks Like a Giant Eye Peeking Through Rock Arch in the Desert

At the end of October, photographer Zach Cooley ventured to Arches National Park in Utah. There, he captured a surreal sight: a full moon framed by the North Windows Arch that makes it look like a giant eye in the sky. In brilliant single-exposure photos, the beguiling visual is almost too perfect to be real. Cooley’s incredible images represent a lot of planning on his part.

Stunning Landscape Photo Captures the Incredible Ever-Changing Weather of Iceland

The small country of Iceland is renowned for its natural beauty and a diverse landscape that includes volcanoes, mountains, and geysers. Due to its location, this island also has a remarkably active climate. Moscow-based photographer Mikhail Shcheglov traveled to Dyrhólaey Cape in South Iceland and managed to capture a mesmerizing change in the weather. While sunshine falls on plants in the foreground, a large rainbow appears from dark, stormy clouds, framing the coast.

Photographer Captures Unique Image of the Moon Disguised as Saturn

Guatemalan photographer Francisco Sojuel was already having an incredible evening as he climbed the Acatenango volcano. It was Christmas Eve 2019 and he'd settled in at the basecamp when he noticed something breathtaking in the night sky. In the early morning hours, just before sunrise, Sojuel looked up and saw the Moon surrounded by a ring of clouds. Incredibly, the clouds made it look like the Moon was “dressing up” like Saturn.
