3 Bob Ross Paintings Sell for $600K, Saving Public TV Stations Affected by Federal Cuts

Last month, Bob Ross Inc., the company that manages the legacy for the late Bob Ross, pledged to support public TV stations facing federal funding cuts. To do so, they announced that they would be donating 30 Bob Ross paintings created on his show, The Joy of Painting, a staple of public television, to raise money. Now, the first three have sold at auction in Los Angeles, raising over $600,000.

Marge Simpson has been a pop culture icon since she first appeared on television screens in 1987. But from the looks of things, she might be older than you think. In 2023, archeologists in Egypt revealed several treasures that they'd unearthed, including a 3,000-year-old coffin. When experts opened the casket at a press conference, eagle-eyed viewers noticed a painting of a woman inside the coffin's cover that looked all too familiar.

Jon Stewart Will Return to Host ‘The Daily Show’ Once a Week for Election Season

Comedian Jon Stewart is heading back to The Daily Show, the late-night staple he shaped during his 16-year tenure as host. Stewart will return to host the Comedy Central show each week on Mondays starting February 12 ahead of the election season. Stewart joined The Daily Show in 1999, changing the landscape of late night television with his incisive political satire. Prior to his departure, Stewart chose Trevor Noah as a successor back in 2015.
