The spot, which cost $1.6 million to make is as sweet as you can get for a Christmas commercial. The ad centers around the friendship of Sam, the little boy, and his penguin friend, Monty. It starts off by giving you a look into their adorable friendship but then changes course as Monty becomes lonely for a partner. The ending will give you the warm and fuzzies!
Launched just today, the ad has been watched over 2.3 million times (and counting). On John Lewis' website, a whole page has been dedicated to Monty. You can even buy everything from cups to pajamas sporting Monty and Mabel (his love interest). Some items, like the plush toys, have already sold out.
