Best Friends Build Tiny Homes on a Ranch to Celebrate Their Lifelong Friendship

Four families inspired best friends everywhere when they decided to solidify their long-time friendship in an extremely unique way. After asking architect Matt Garcia for help, the friends collaboratively designed a personalized ranch right outside of Austin, Texas, so that each family would have their own affordable $40,000 tiny home to live in. The expansive Llano Exit Strategy property also includes a main house where the best friends can cook, gather together, and accommodate guests who want to join in on their incredible experience.

Not only has the group created an amazing space that they can bond over, they have also made their tiny homes sustainable. The families installed a rainwater tank that can hold up to 5,000 gallons, while the windows feature special insulation that helps to keep things cool and cut back on electricity. A vegetable garden is also in the works, since the family has loved being surrounded by nature during this new chapter in their lives. “It's like a Disney movie out here,” stated one of the property owners to Garden & Gun. “We have hare, bobcat, deer, and all kinds of birds. As we spend more and more time here, we find more and more.”
