Flying Wizard is Actually a Tricky Remote-Controlled Plane

RC hobbyist Otto Dieffenbach of Flyguy Promotions tricks people into thinking that wizards and witches are flying on broomsticks through the air with his craftily constructed, remote-controlled cutouts. Two of Dieffenbach's latest RC designs, part of his Broom Flyer series, were created specially, just in time for Halloween. As they swiftly soar through the skies, pedestrians are left gaping in awe as the cutouts seem to be playing a game of Quidditch in the clouds.

The visual key to Dieffenbach's flying figures is distance–the greater the gap between the RC cutouts and bystanders, the greater the likelihood of them looking like actual people. As for the mechanics involved and the figure design, the RC enthusiast admits that it can be a bit difficult for newcomers to the craft. Luckily, if you want one of these flyers you don't need to build it yourself as Dieffenbach has made each available to purchase through Hoosier Cutout Service.

Be sure to check out the videos, below, of the wizard and witch flyers in action.
