DIY Shape-Shifting Lamp Lets You Stack and Build the Lamp of Your Dreams

Craftsman Mike Warren was inspired by the beauty of the Babele lamp by Manifattura Italian Design, but unwilling to pay the high sale price. So, the determined designer decided to hand craft a version of the lamp, which is a playful, shape-shifting piece that can be arranged and stacked to your liking. Warren made the replica using free software and about $15 worth of supplies.

Unamused Husky Gives Priceless Reaction When Owner Fakes Throw

Most dog owners have tried fake-throwing a ball while playing catch, to see what the dog's reaction would be; but, when Jasmine Milton did it, her dog was not impressed to say the least. In just four frames, we see the beautiful Siberian Husky's expression go from normal, to thrilled, to hilariously unamused. “So I pretended to throw a ball and caught the exact moment my dog realised I had betrayed him,” Milton explains.

Simple Paper Folds Create Fantastic Illusions of Drawings Brought to Life

By simply folding, wrinkling, or curling a sheet of paper, Copenhagen-based illustrator HuskMitNavn is able to create delightfully amusing scenes. His bold, black and white drawings depict a cartoonish set of characters that are brought to life through strategically-positioned paper edges coupled with brilliantly maneuvered perspectives. He produces the fantastic illusion that these two-dimensional illustrations have suddenly sprung to life.

Designer Creates Font to Help Us Better Understand Dyslexia

It wasn't until his last year as a student at the London School of Communications that designer Daniel Britton was diagnosed with dyslexia. When he told his classmates and teachers about his disorder, they didn't fully understand how it felt. So, being a visual person, Britton created a way to show them just what he meant. The solution was in the creation of a font called Dyslexia.
