In his macro photo series Amazing Worlds Within Our World, artist Pyanek demonstrates the enormous complexity of everyday objects. Through the modified Canon T3i lens, squiggly fibers in book pages come into sharp focus, dramatic pit marks on the tip of a matchstick become visible, and beautiful green and gold streaks in the metal of a common screw jump out.

Ghostly Deer Sculpture Stands Deep in a UK Forest

Artist David Freedman created this beautiful, ghostly deer sculpture deep in a UK forest. He was asked by the UK Forestry Commission to make a piece for the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire, England as part of a sensory trail, which make would make it accessible to people in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. Despite being easy to access, the sculpture is set back from the pathway so that it appears deep in the forest.

Mesmerizing Tunnel Looks Like a Colorful Kaleidoscope When Walking Through One Way

Olafur Eliasson's colorful glass tunnel comes to life when you stroll through it one way, but if you look back over your shoulder, the panels appear black. The mesmerizing, kaleidoscope-like tunnel is comprised of stained glass triangles held together with bold, black piping. When viewed from one end, the tunnel is a rainbow of purple, pink and yellow, but the interesting one-way effect masks the colors from the other side.
