New Banksy Piece: "The Girl with the Pierced Eardrum"

A new Banksy piece has just been spotted in his hometown of Bristol. This time, the elusive street artist pays tribute to Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer's 1665 masterpiece Girl with a Pearl Earring. Of course, in true Banksy style, there's something a little off about the piece. The pearl earring (and the entire earlobe) has been replaced with an alarm box (from ADT).

15-Year-Old Recreates Famous Movie Scenes in Amazing LEGO Stop-Motion Animation

Morgan Spence, a 15-year-old aspiring filmmaker from Scotland, spent three weeks using hundreds of LEGO bricks to recreate famous movie scenes in an amazing stop-motion animation. Popular scenes from iconic works such as Dracula, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Titanic are instantly recognizable even in tiny plastic form, speaking to the fame of the films as well as Spence's extraordinary skill at replicating characters, props, scenery, and other details using the toy building blocks.

Colorful Paper Art Arrangements Convey Ten Principles of Design

Every good graphic designer knows that there are certain fundamental rules to follow when creating something new. Turkish graphic designer Efil Trk decided to visually communicate these ideas through her series, entitled The Principles of Design. For each poster, Trk arranged a clean, geometric paper art composition on a simple gray background. Her series draws upon creatively arranged shapes, forms, and textures to describe how artists should plan to incorporate certain elements within their artwork.
