130 Suspended Toy Guns Form a Map of the USA

Artist Michael Murphy is back with yet another clever yet controversial piece! (Who could forget the assault rifle made up of 1200 ping pong balls?) For the open art competition ArtPrize this year, he's created Gun Country, a site specific installation that consists of 130 toy guns. The large installation can currently be found on the terrace of the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts.

Distorted Landscape Photos Blur the Line Between Reality and Fantasy

After looking closely at these photographs, viewers will quickly discover that there is something a little odd about each landscape. Created by California-based photographer Laura Plageman, the ongoing series, Response, features a confusing blur between reality and the artist's creation of fictional scenes. For each piece, Plageman rips, folds, and sculpts original images together and arranges them on a tabletop to be re-photographed.

Mr. Bean Hilariously Inserted into Historical Paintings

Illustrator and caricature artist Rodney Pike shows off his superb photo manipulation skills with these hilarious insertions of the beloved character Mr. Bean into historical portraits.
