Artist Frida Kahlo is probably best known for her painted self portraits, but she also had a well-documented life on camera. There are hundreds of photographs taken of her as an adult with husband Diego Rivera, but what's less common are images from her childhood. Her father, Guillermo Kahlo, often captured her as a young girl on film. These rare and beautiful images give us a glimpse into what Kahlo's early life was like.

Since 2009, German street artist 1010 has been creating these mysterious, portal-like street art illusions on walls around the world. While at first glance it looks like he's layering colored paper, upon closer inspection you realize that you're actually looking at paint on a wall. New Canadian Passport Reveals Spectacular Designs Under UV Black Light

With a little help from a UV black light, the most recent version of the Canadian passport reveals spectacular patterns and a surprisingly vibrant neon glow. Reddit user Chachichachichicken recently shared this discovery in an Imgur photo gallery that quickly went viral. The passport pages transform from flat parchment decorated with subtle lines to colorful, hologram-like maple leaves, exploding fireworks that hover over Parliament, and a roomful of politicians outlined in neon.

Dedicated Mom Builds Amazingly Detailed Model of Hogwarts with 400,000 LEGO Bricks

A Seattle mom has brought the beloved Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to life with an incredibly detailed, 400,000-piece Lego model of the castle. Alice Finch spent a year constructing this magical diorama that accurately depicts key scenes from the books and movies. Finch originally got the idea for her project while playing with her two young sons.
