The Korowai Tribe’s Incredible Tree Houses

Can you imagine living over 100 feet up in the trees? A people known as the Korowai tribe don't need to stretch their imagination at all because their lives have always been spent living in tree houses that soar high above. On the island of New Guinea in the southeastern part of Papua, the isolated tribe is the only group of people in the world that have established their primary residence in tree houses.

The Curious Life of Light Bulb Head Sculptures

A few months ago we wrote about a couple of Stephen Shaheen's humorous yet strange sculptures that adorn lightbulb heads. We get such a kick out of his work, we've decided to feature a few more of the Brooklyn-based sculptor's collection. The one that stands out the most is aptly titled Let's Put Our Heads Together (above). It features three blue men bent over with their heads collectively in the middle.

Incredible Sculptures Made of Bicycle Parts

Chicago-based bicycle parts company SRAM gives artists the opportunity to show how creative they can be by equipping them with a box of 100 bike components and challenging them to make something for their pART PROJECT competition. This year, over 80 artists have participated, contributing their inventive creations that range from figurative sculptures to abstract collages.

Documenting the Mathematical Scribbles of Geniuses

CERN Since 2010, Spanish artist Alejandro Guijarro has been traveling to several Quantum Mechanics institutions across the globe. He photographs their blackboards that are filled with the mathematical scribblings of some of the greatest minds in the world. The photographer walks into each facility's lecture halls and proceeds to snap shots of the blackboards without modifying the board or interfering with the original arrangement of the space.
