Japan’s Knife-Edge Apartment Building

Now that's an interesting outside facade! Designed by Japanese architects Eastern Design Office, this new apartment building is rather unique in that it's a 4-story tall triangle. Known as “On the Corner,” the building is a mixture of concrete, glass, stone, and glass blocks. While the buildings shape may be a triangle, the facade is made up of squares cut out of those materials.

Mystifying Sci-Fi Photography

There is nothing more mystifying than the blank stare from a person you don't know. Just ask photographer Egor Shapovalov who's known for creating mesmerizing atmospheres around his sullen subjects. The young photographer, who is currently based in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, utilizes several techniques that heighten his imagery such as his single color scheme per frame. This adds a different emotion to each respective photo. He also primarily features one subject in each image.

Animals’ Eyes Up Close

Suren Manvelyan, is a bit of a jack of all trades. He has a PhD in Theoretical Physics specializing in Quantum Chaos but has recently turned his attention to photographing the amazing detailed landscapes of eyes. The ones featured here are all from animals and includes a husky dog, snail, Siamese cat, and even a crocodile as well as a few other creatures.
