Travel Guru Rick Steves Stands With Ukraine and Cancels Russia Tours

For 40 years, travel author and television personality Rick Steves has been helping Americans explore the world. And now, he's also reminding them that it's important to think about the governments they help when spending their hard-earned money abroad. In light of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Steves has canceled all 2022 tours that include a stop in Russia.

Planes of Color Look Like They’re Protruding From the Canvas

Netherlands-based artist Daniel Mullen merges color with geometry in his exquisite abstract paintings. Massive planes of color appear to rush forward from deep within the canvas, fanning into designs that lead the viewer's eyes across the beige-toned canvas. The layers, although delicate on their own, add together to create visual depth. Originally from Scotland, Mullen received his BFA from Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, a school associated with the Bauhaus movement.
