Woodworker Builds a Tiny Bar for His Local Squirrels to Hang Out and Enjoy “Almond Ale” and “Walnut Stout”

From a backyard obstacle course to a miniature restaurant, many woodworking artists have been using their skills to build tiny establishments for the squirrels in their gardens. In Hilliard, Ohio, the local fluffy-tailed animals are particularly spoiled, though, thanks to hobbyist woodworker Michael Dutko (of Duke Harmon Woodworking). He recently built The Nutty Bar, a wooden structure that looks like a real-life pub—but instead of serving beer, it dispenses nuts.

LEGO Releases 5,544-Piece ‘Harry Potter’ Diagon Alley Set Complete With Wizarding World Stores

From Hogwarts Castle to 4 Privet Drive, LEGO has a whole range of Harry Potter-themed sets that playfully transport you into your own, hand-built wizarding world. The latest set to join the magical collection is an epic 5,544-piece version of Diagon Alley. The fourth-largest LEGO set ever released, it measures more than a meter (3.2 feet) long when built.

Artist Builds Amazing Menagerie of Animals With LEGO Bricks

Traditional sculptors use a variety of classic mediums—clay, plaster, marble—but Brooklyn-based artist and “professional kid” Sean Kenney opts for something different—he works with LEGOs. LEGO bricks are a medium familiar to all. For many budding young artists, the colorful bricks are their first introduction to sculpting and engineering. Kenney continues to use the toys for this purpose, combining his expertise as a cartoonist with meticulous blueprints.
