This ultra-cozy product is simultaneously a storage bin, eating surface, and heating source all rolled into one. Kotatsu has a long tradition in Japanese culture. It has been around since the 14th century, and it evolved from a cooking hearth to what we see today.

World’s Steepest Mountainside Railway Opens in the Majestic Swiss Alps

If you don't suffer from vertigo and are looking for a little thrill, you may want to book your next trip to Switzerland, which has just opened the world's steepest funicular. Connecting the town of Schwyz with the Alpine village of Stoos, the funicular climbs at a maximum gradient of 110%. The newly opened StoosBahn is fourteen years in the making, climbing a height differential of 2,440 feet over the mile-long track.

Artist Overhears Ridiculous Conversations, Turns Them Into Funny Illustrations

People say the darnedest things when they think they’re having a private chat. But for those that overhear these bits and pieces of random conversations, the exchanges can be cringe-worthy, juicy, or even downright hilarious. Dreamworks Animation artist Avner Geller visually chronicles these moments in his aptly-titled series, #ThingsThatIHear. The funny illustrations include what he heard as well as colorful scenes that correspond to the content of the overheard conversations.
