Photographer Empowers Sick and Disabled Children by Transforming Them into Superheroes

Digital artist and professional photographer Josh Rossi has a knack for making kids' wildest dreams come true. In the past, he used his skills to magically turn his young daughter into Wonder Woman and Beauty and the Beast‘s Belle. Now, inspired by these past projects and hoping to delight a new group of children, Rossi has undertaken a new “super passion project”: transforming hospitalized children into superheroes.

Photographer Captures People With Diverse Skin Tones to Show Beauty Comes in Every Shade

A year ago, photographer Chesterfield Hector began an ambitious endeavor to capture the vastly different skin tones of people around the world. “Coming from a family where everyone was a different shade,” he tells us in an email, “I have always found the variation in skin tones very interesting.” Now, he's photographed nearly 50 people who each have their own unique complexion. The resulting images are part of his aptly-titled project called Skin Tones.

Glistening Geode Mugs Embedded with Clusters of Lifelike Crystals

Earlier this year, self-taught ceramicist Katie Marks of Silver Lining Ceramics dazzled us with her luminous drinking vessels. Bursting with crystalline clusters and covered in cosmic patterns, these pieces showcase the artist's sculptural skills and have undoubtedly inspired her more recent collection of glistening geode mugs. Citing minerals as her muse, Marks beautifully incorporates a love of geology into her practice. Though each stunning geode mug features a standard silhouette, Marks makes each one unique with her additional embellishments.

Cutting-Edge Architects to Build Inverted Pyramid House in Spanish Countryside

Set to be built in the Spanish region of Matarraña, TNA is the latest architectural firm to take up the challenge of building a residence without restrictions for developer Christian Bourdais' Solo Houses project. Lead architects Makoto Takei and Chie Nabeshima have dreamed up an inverted concrete pyramid sunk into the Spanish landscape.
