It's not often you see a “sweet” art tribute like this. Mimi O. Chun, design director of General Assembly, recently created these Rothko-inspired cookies that have his signature “multiform” style (or blocks of varied colors). Chun posted the picture of her cookies on Instagram with the description “Rothko tribute” and the image has since started making its way around the web. Many are even urging her to make a full series. Though we're not sure if she's joking, on Twitter, Chun even went so far as calling the potential project The Dead Artist Series. Could van Gough's Starry Night be too far behind?
“Many heartfelt thanks (esp @ingridfetell) for the Rothko Cookie love, and apologies to Mark, if he's cringing from the grave. More to come,” she says.
