Rowdy the Adorable Miniature Dachshund Tears Up LA Streets on Her Skateboard

Ever since the early 1960s, Southern California has been a hotspot for skateboarding. But there’s a new kid on the SoCal skate scene—meet Rowdy, the 16-month-old miniature dachshund who’s tearing up LA streets on her skateboard. This adorable pooch has her own Instagram profile, where she showcases her rad skills and adorable style with photos and videos. Now with over 30,000 followers, she’s not only the cutest canine in the skatepark, but online, too!

Rowdy has loved sports ever since she was a pup, having been a running competitor since she was 4 months old. “I love to run fast and compete,” her Instagram says. “I've won three 1st place championships, 2nd place, and a 3rd place finish in my journey for the title of fastest dachshund in Southern California.” When she’s not competing, Rowdy spends her time on four wheels—she can be found rolling through the streets and skateparks of LA on her skateboard.

“It’s so much fun to ride my skateboard,” the lovable little rascal's inner voice says on social media. “So much so that I rarely play with my dog toys, because I’d rather be outside skateboarding.” Rowdy’s adorable videos capture how she takes on ramps, curbs, and even stairs. No matter the challenge, the chilled-out pooch never seems phased. She’s always happy to have the wind in her fur and the sun in her face.
