The Reluctant Father by Phillip Toledano

You may remember Phillip Toledano as the photographer who shared with us his incredibly moving story, Days With My Father. It was a beautiful series that became an international viral sensation, with over 1.3 million visitors. As we experienced the last three years of Toledano's father's life, watching his physical and mental health deteriorate, we couldn't help but feel sad but deeply touched by the experience.

The artist is now back with what he calls “a fitting bookend” to Days With My Father as he begins his firsthand experience with the other side of the parent-child relationship. His new series of portraits chronicles the arrival of his first child. It's a funny and joyous narrative called The Reluctant Father and it goes live, today.

Experience it for yourself, here.
