Cathedral’s Spectacular 55,000 LED Light Projection Mapping

The Italian family business Luminaire de Cagna was the main attraction this year at the 2012 Light Festival in Ghent, Belgium. The festival included more than 30 displays as the town center was transformed into a spectacle of experimental illuminations and projections. At this cathedral of LED lights, the audience walked through the immense 91′ high entrance into a “fairy tale gallery, surrounded by light and color.” The project was quite environmentally aware as the 55,000 LED lights consumed only 20Kwatt/h of electricity.

This year, the theme of ‘happiness' was prominent at the dazzling four-day festival with artists creating “surprising spectacles, ingenious creations, spectacular performances and beautiful events,” all which were based completely on light.
