We are no stranger to the work of self-taught Italian artist Alberto Seveso. We just love his Stunning Ink Portraits, Beibeees and his LEGO Ink Riders, he is so incredibly skilled at documenting colorful liquids as they slowly mix with water. Now, he wows us again with this captivating portrait of music artist Ayaka.
The series of images serve as the packaging for her single, Beautiful. Using his trademark style, Seveso transforms the stunning portrait of Ayaka into a sea of wispy colors. He uses two color palettes, one is a cool collection of purples, blues, and pinks, while the second is a warmer palette of pinks, reds, and yellows. In both versions, the viewer is drawn in by Ayaka's soft features and her sad expression, and then Seveso's manipulations keep us lingering to explore her slow disappearance into a blur of smokey liquids.
