Dynamic Residential Buildings Proposed Above Urban Transportation Hubs

Urban Alloy is an innovative architectural design concept created by Chad Kellogg and Matt Bowles of AMLGM as a way to continuously improve and expand upon urban development in dynamic cities like New York. The designers have proposed a concept that makes use of wasted spaces above intersections and transportation infrastructures.

“Urbanist's have long touted the benefits of greater housing density near public transportation hubs,” AMLGM explains. “Urban Alloy proposes the advancement of this idea by locating the system directly on the intersections between surface and elevated train lines.”

By accessing these untouched areas, AMLGM believes that they can maximize on a city's potential for residential areas and allow for even more urban growth. Plus, as a benefit to residents, the modern constructions will provide premium and personalized living spaces that are diverse and unique from one building to the next.
