Italian street artist Caiffa Cosimo, also known as Cheone, creates eye-catching street art featuring optical illusions. The larger-than-life paintings cleverly interact with their surrounding environment in an amusing and mischievous way. Cheone's characters are seen dumping out a can of paint, doodling on the street, and rolling crosswalk lines onto the pavement. In one scene, the subject really comes alive and grabs the shirt of a passerby.
The muralist uses both realistic and cartoonish approaches to produce these convincing works. Some are stylized with thick outlines while many of the pieces are heavily shaded and visually pop from the wall. It looks as though he's even inserted himself on the streets of Milan. One painting, featuring the doodling man, has “Cheone” signed around the edges and on the bright green pen. We can't help but think it's a self portrait!
