Bicycle theft is on the rise in major urban cities and lugging around a bulky bike lock everywhere you go can be tiresome, but Berlin-based company Sphyke has come up with a simple solution–a series of combination locks, known as C3N, made to fit the parts of a bike that are often easily taken. This includes custom coded locks for both the front and rear wheels, the seat, and even the handlebar stem.
While many companies have sought to release products that protect a cyclist's property by attempting to lock an entire bike, few have focused on the all too common issue of thieves taking easily accessible parts, such as wheels and seats. The C3N offers a more conscientious approach to avoiding a stolen bike by locking crucial elements with easy-to-carry locks. Each lock, which is made from high tensile stainless-steel, can be configured for up to 2,000 different combinations.
C3N is currently available to purchase directly through Sphyke's website. Check out the video below to see how easy it is to install.
