Did you know that you can buy tiny homes on Amazon? Cute and compact, these DIY houses are a great option for people who don't mind cramped quarters. One humble abode that has proven particularly popular among the tiny home crowd is the Allwood Solvalla, a minimalist “garden house” perfect for a party of one.

This modern and minimalist Nordic wood house offers a contemporary take on the traditional log cabin. In addition to serving as a convenient guest house in your backyard, the 172-square-foot Solvalla can also serve as a home office, poolside hut, or even a rooftop escape. Measuring 172 square feet, weighing just 2,480 pounds, and able to be built by two people in just 8 hours—the prefabricated possibilities are endless!

Unfortunately, constructing the tiny home does come with a catch. The kit does not include roof shingles or foundation materials, which will add an extra $320 on top of the $6,550 price tag. Additionally, it is not equipped with electricity, a bathroom, or a system of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. However, crafty builders can add these amenities on their own time and dime.

If you want to buy and build your own Solvalla set-up, you can find it on the Allwood website. Normally, it's also available on Amazon, but it’s currently out of stock (as of publishing this article).

Allwood Outlet has come up with Solvalla, a DIY garden house kit that lets you build your own humble abode in less than a day.
