The Australian Firefighters Calendar has released a few sneak peeks of next year's featured photos, and they're irresistible. The shots feature shirtless rescue workers paired with sweet rescued puppies, cradled in their chiseled arms. Yet, it's the heart, more than the heartthrobs, that makes the photos truly special.
Though the hunky models might be the first to catch your eye–or perhaps the four-legged furballs, depending on your preferred sort of snuggle buddy–there's a sincere philanthropic mission behind the models' smoldering (or slobbering) expressions. The calendar's proceeds will go towards the Children's Hospital Foundation and the Westmead Children's Hospital burns unit, as they have since the first edition back in 1993, raising more than $1.3 million for charity over the years. Some of this installment's sales will also be donated to Mates4Mates, which provides rehabilitation for current and past members of the Australian Defence Force, and animal care organization RSPCA.
Though the secret to snagging one of the male models remains a mystery, there's an easy way to make one of these puppies your new best friend. They're all available for adoption via Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc.
Whether you're drawn to the dogs, the dudes, or the good deed, you can order yourself a copy of The Firefighters Calendar on its website–it's for a good cause, after all.
