According to the State Bar of California, a little over half of applicants passed the July 2024 exam. Rhiannah Gordon was one of them. Gordon, a single working mom of two young kids, was determined to transition to a career in law. All of Chicagoโ€™s Municipal Buildings Are Now Powered by 100% Renewable Energy

Each year, approximately 700,000 megawatt hours of electricity are expended to power Chicagoโ€™s 411 municipal buildings. The beginning of 2025, however, signaled a major milestone in the cityโ€™s efforts toward increased sustainability. As of January 1, all buildings owned and operated by the city are officially powered by 100% renewable energy, including Oโ€™Hare International Airport, Harold Washington Library, 98 fire stations, and two of the worldโ€™s largest water treatment facilities.

Designers Modernize Cuckoo Clocks With Bold Colors and Sleek Edges

The Black Forest region in southwestern Germany is largely considered the birthplace of the cuckoo clock. Traditional designs typically involve organic decorative elements; but, in Turkey, these iconic chirping clocks are undergoing a radical transformation. Led by artist Serdar Kar and his wife Suzi, Woodmess has modernized the cuckoo clock through bold colorways, inventive shapes, and surprising textures.
