This Twisting Carbon-Absorbing Tower in Taipei Will Soon Be Completed

Paris-based architecture firm Vincent Callebaut Architectures is known for their green designs and are often referred to as ecological architects. In 2010, the firm won a competition for a sustainable residential tower for Taipei’s Xinjin District. Now, images of the Tao Zhu Yin Yuan Tower show that the structure is almost completed and that the green firm is certainly living up to its name.

Toronto-based architecture firm PARTISANS has designed Fold House, a unique single-family home in Southern Ontario. Boasting an impressively waving roof, the designers wanted the abode to blend in with the gently contoured landscape that surrounds it. The project represents a new beginning for client Scott Friedmann, who lost his family home in 2017 in a fire that forced him to rebuild. PARTISANS replaced the home with this beautifully modern nature retreat.
