Hilariously Awkward Holiday Family Photos

We all have embarrassing moments in our lives but for some those moments are immortalized through photography. From regrettable hairdos and style choices to distorted facial expressions and embarrassing compositions, nothing describes these types of photos better than the word awkward. Luckily, we can look back and laugh at the unusual images we've been part of and some people have even taken to submitting their hilarious personal photos to a website aptly called Awkward Family Photos for the rest of the world to enjoy.

The site offers an endless supply of entertainment, but it is perhaps the holidays that foster the most laughs. It's an opportune time for families to gather and make memories by taking a lot of pictures, both candid and studio portraits, so there's bound to be funny family moments. People also tend to try to get creative around this festive time of year by putting on elaborate costumes, which is always fun to look at. Throw kids and Santa in the mix and you've almost got yourself a guaranteed win in hilarity.
