Tattoos are a fantastic and beautiful way to commemorate a special place. This permanent body art makes it impossible to forget a meaningful locale, which is probably why so many people choose to get their favorite cities inked. It’s a gentle reminder of the experiences that were had—that way, a little part of the place is always with you, even when you’re not there.

Buzzfeed compiled a list of stunning tattoos that pay homage to cities from all across the globe. From Paris to Las Vegas, each city has its own distinctive style and architectural personality that is undoubtedly cherished by anyone who would permanently mark their body with its image.
