George Floyd’s Heartbreaking Final Words Are Flown Across 5 U.S. Cities

Five days after being murdered at the hands of the police, the finals words of 46-year-old George Floyd flew across the skies of American cities. This was the powerful work of artist Jammie Holmes, who used the installation as his own demonstration against the violent act that took Floyd's life. On May 25, Floyd was detained outside of a Minneapolis grocery store on suspicion of using a counterfeit $20 bill.

Massive Flower Arrangements Appear on NYC Streets in Support of COVID-19 Healthcare Workers

Floral designer Lewis Miller crafts massive pop-up flower arrangements that occupy New York City streets. Calling each iteration a “Flower Flash,” the stunning collection of roses, lilies, cherry blossoms, and more are an unexpected and welcome sight to the gritty backdrop of the urban environment. He’s previously dressed phone booths and trash cans with the tumbling flowers, and more recently, he's concentrated on the area in which his abundance of blooms appear.

14 Artists Transform Saudi Arabian Desert Into a Contemporary Art Oasis

An ancient oasis in Saudi Arabia has been transformed into a contemporary art playground for Desert X AlUla. The event brings together fourteen local and international artists, who have created site-specific installations inspired by the natural surroundings. This type of interactive installation is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and is a spinoff of the Desert X events that happen every two years in California's Coachella Valley.
