Architectural ‘Vanishing House’ Installation Provides a Place of Peaceful Memory

The installation called The Vanished House exists as almost a specter on the grass. The structure is made of a weathered metal that looks like delicate ivy as it twists up the walls and roof, leaving some areas partially formed while others not at all. Designed by Field Conforming Studio, the piece was set in a tranquil cemetery of Wuhan Shimenfeng Memorial Park in Wuhan, China.

Monumental Yarn Art Installations Add a Radiant Spectrum of Color Indoors and Outdoors

Artist Eric Rieger, aka HOTTEA, gathers loose threads to make monumental installations. Using seemingly countless strings, the pieces hang from ceilings and envelop the spaces they’re in with fields of vibrant hues—all of which seemingly have a mind of their own. Each thread is untethered and able to freely move with a passing breeze. The installations are a site-specific endeavor and are often informed by HOTTEA’s own experiences, memories, or associations with a place.

World’s First Inflatable Fountain Is the Centerpiece of Groovy New Exhibition in Paris

If you visit Paris' Grande Hall during the spring and summer this year, you will come across a spectacular sight. Melbourne-based art studio ENESS—a multidisciplinary team known for their innovative and whimsical creations—has installed the world's first inflatable fountain. The nearly 20-foot-tall technicolor sculpture is part of their exhibition entitled Cupid's Koi Garden.
