Magical World of Giant Flowers Inspired by the Elaborate Mating Rituals of Bowerbirds

Kosovar artist Petrit Halilaj has created a fantastical, yet deeply personal, installation for his first solo exhibition at the Reina Sofía's Palacio de Cristal in Madrid. Inspired by the elaborate courtship rituals of bowerbirds, who are known for decorating structures to attract a mate,  he's strung up enormous flowers inside the glass conservatory. Halilaj's work often tackles themes of home, nation, love, and cultural identity.

Teen Creates Chalk Drawings To Take Her Little Brother on “Adventures” Across the Globe

The global pandemic has put many things on hold, from special outings to big vacations; but, not for 14-year-old Macaire Everett and her nine-year-old brother Camden. Through charming chalk art, they’ve been able to “go” to all sorts of places without ever leaving their home. During the COVID-19 quarantine, the teen began creating massive drawings on the sidewalk. Once each one was completed, her brother would lay on the ground and interact with Everett’s art.
